Animal Sounds Sneak Peek!

After careful consideration, I went through the Names a few of you sent me, and I picked... MINE! I win!!! HA!
serious tho, thank you to those of you who emailed me Titles and Names. Animal Sounds serves for both the title and Salty Snail's record shop. It's a total nod of the hat to Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds!
As far as names go, Violet and I decided on Manda for the panda-girl, and Pedro for the lion-boy.
Who's Violet you ask?
She's a friend who does writing from time to time, and will be assisting me in the writing arena.
This is a rough pass as to how I want the strip to look visually. it looks a little like a 30s cartoon but with a raw punk rock feel to it. I might be playing around with some digital zipatone patterns later on, but need to find out the quality of the magazine's paper first.
what do YOU think?

Working Title?

This here's an asian jpop riotgirl panda bear. she looks a little like my GF who happens to like pandabears. I imagine her to sound like janeane garofalo.

This here is a lion boy with 70s style hair and scruff. I imagine him to act a bit like John Cusack.
In fact, they work at an indy record store together.
This is something I am putting together for a friend to become a comic strip in an all Music Magazine. It'll be a little Clerks-y, mixed with a dash of empire records and High Fidelity if it was set in a cute Animal Crossing, the video game, sort of world. plus they would make hecka cool vinyl toys!
No title or names for the characters in this comic strip yet. So maybe, i'll run some sort of contest.
Anyone? Bueller? Hello? Mcfly?
comments and suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Lost: Drawn SAYID

Here's my take on Sayid. I haven't been keeping up with my Lost Caricatures as I should be, so I feel that this one is not up to par with the rest of them. So, without further ado, let the Jeaux Bashing begin.
I have been hiding out in Las Vegas for the past few weeks and should be returning to Cali by next week.
I've been toying around with lots of different, varied cartoon and comic pitches, concepts, and ideas.
So all you cartoon and comic book making companies watch out. I have my eyes on you. Lasers set to stun mon capitan jeaux!!!
by the way, all you corporations, cartoon/toy/comic book making companies, design firms peeping my blog, for pete's sake, HIRE ME! I need a JOB. Save me from Unemployment. Please.
For those of you who are friends of mine, with particular Know How and insights into these respective fields, Please Hook a brutha up with some information. And Please comment. I am needy and quite vulnerable right now.
I know you are all reading this.
Okay. I'm glad I got to vent. Breathing back to normal. soothing. happy place.
I'll stop being an attention whore now.

cool? cool.

My story in WA666, made a debut in an art show I was in a few months back at a gallery called the Smell. It was funny seeing peeps trying to make out the words in the comic. That's my good friend Liz O. and her bf Carlos reading Tales To Make You Pee Yr Pants. Or if you'd prefer, the more affectionate term, Pee-Pants.
pee-pants,
