By Henson's Beard

A little Jim Henson Action for you all before I venture off into the tundra that is slumberland.

For the longest time, I've been fascinated with Jim Henson and his beard, which also is a muppet.
I would like to tell Jim's story ala his Beard's POV.
egads, I'm tired.
Nite y'all.

It's about Power.

"It's like those weird countries man, where the Army guys overthrow the President.
The first thing that they take over... are the ways people communicate man.
Radio. TV. Newspapers.
Information is Power."

-Pirates of Silicon Valley
So I was listening to PoSV today, yes..Listening!
I found THE perfect Zoning Out while yr in the ZONE at work Website Ever!
It's called Listen To A Movie (dot) Com, and it's exactly like Audio Books. Except it's Movies sans Visuals. I whole-heartedly recommend this Site for anyone who wants to tune out their day-job.
As for me, It helps me work and keeps me focused, oddly enough.
Anyhoo, God Bless the Internet and A.D.D.!!!
Working for a New Media company (N3) has gotten me to thinking alot about stuff.
A dangerous past-time, I know...
Blogs are like owning your own small printing press. The internet is like a huge xerox machine. You can even have your own radio/mp3 show. The future man.
Do it yr self. Revolt. We are the revolutionaries.
That's what's so awesome about NOW.
By the way, God Bless my Day-Job.
Here's an old picture for you all to look at, cause I don't have a scanner here, or sketchbook yet.

oh yea, PS. New Order broke up today. I bet they'll get back together...

FRED-EX

So, I was lucky to be involved in a certifiable AllStar Animation Jam called Fred-EX a while back curated by 2 awesome co-workers o'er at Ye Olde Frederator, Dan Meth & Lee Rubenstein.
Awesome in all sense of the word.
It turns out that Fred-Ex has been chosen to screen in a sweet Animation Festival in Portland, Oregon called The Platform International Animation Festival!!!
So those of you in Portland... Oregon, specifically, better go see this piece of Pure Awesome.
Each animator got to do a specific topic, with one rule, it had to have a Robot in it. Hence, the title, The Secret Life of Robots.
Here's my little dood.

Ain't he cute? I wish he was my butler/secret agent spy sidekick. cause i harbor a desire to be a secret spy.
secretly.
(he could totally be my very own Swank Sidekick who sounds like James Mason & be my Personal Gadget giving Q at the saaaamme Time!!!)
the topic was Bachelor Parties.
I'm proud of the piece i did, and prouder of the other animation pieces alongside mine. And Thank you... for your support.
I hope to be invited to Fred-Ex Round 2: the Saga Continues.
-JX!
PS- If anyone wants to mail me a sketchbook of some sort, I won't be mad at you. I'm kinda going crazy without one.
Seriously.
